PM Modi’s Independence Day Speech 2022
1) India’s Diversity is its Strength
Yesterday on 14th August, India also celebrated Partition Vibhishika Memorial Day with a heavy heart. At the time of independence, all the apprehensions were raised that India would break up, but all the apprehensions proved to be unfounded.
What did we not suffer after independence? Suffered famine, suffered war. Success-failure, hope-disappointment did not know how many milestones came, but in spite of this, India continued to grow. India’s diversity, which seemed a burden to others, is its strength.
In 2014, the countrymen gave me the responsibility. Born after independence, I was the first person who got the opportunity to glorify the countrymen from the Red Fort.
But in my heart, whatever I have learned from you, as much as I have come to know you, have been able to understand happiness and sorrow, I have spent my entire time in empowering the people of the country.
Be it Dalits, exploited, deprived, women, no matter where they are… Dedicated to the dreams of Mahatma Gandhi in every corner.
2) India’s People are Aspirational, Waited a lot but now not in the Mood to Wait
Countrymen, today I am seeing the biggest fortune of the country that the people of India are aspirational people. We are proud that today in every corner of India, in every section, aspirations are on the rise.
Every citizen of the country wants to change things, wants to see them change but is not in the mood to wait. I want to see it change before my eyes.
Some people may be in trouble because when the society is aspirational then the governments also have to run with the times. Our aspirational society has waited a long time but now it is not in a mood to wait for the coming generation.
3) Changed the World’s View of Looking at India
There has been a renaissance of collective consciousness in India. After so many decades of independence, the attitude of the whole world towards India has changed. The world is looking at India proudly, looking with anticipation. The world wants to see the solution of the problems on the soil of India. The world is living with hope. He is beginning to see that he has the power to fulfill the expectations.
130 crore countrymen have experienced after decades of experience what is the importance of stable government, what can be the power of policies. If there is dynamism in policies, there is speed in decisions, then everyone becomes a participant in development. We used to carry the mantra of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, but the countrymen have filled the color of faith in it.
4) 5 Vows for a Developed India
No matter how glorious the period of 75 years may have been, crises and challenges, yet today as we are entering the time of immortality, the next 25 years are very important for our country.
So today when I remember the power of 130 crore Indians of the country from the Red Fort, I feel that in the coming 25 years, we have to focus our resolves and strength on Panch Pran.
First Vow – Now the country will run with a big resolve. You have to walk with a lot of determination. This resolution is – Developed India.
Second Vow – If there is still a single part of slavery in any corner, then it should not be allowed to escape under any circumstances. Now the hundred percent slavery of hundreds of years has kept our emotions tight. We have to be free from the smallest thing of slavery.
Third Vow – We should be proud of our heritage. Because it is this heritage which once gave India its golden age. We should be proud of this heritage.
Fourth Vow – this is equally important. That is unity and solidarity. Unity among 130 crore countrymen. The power of unity is for the dreams of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.
Fifth Vow – Duty of citizens. In this, even the PM is not out, the CM is also not out because he is also a citizen.
When the dreams are big and the thoughts are big, then the effort is also very big. Now one can imagine how the country stood up in the period 40-42. The resolution was big – freedom.
Look at the power, the big resolve was big, so we lived with freedom. Had the resolution been small, perhaps today would still have been a day of struggle. Today is the first dawn of Amritkal, so we have to make a developed India in these 25 years. Great resolution.
Our country will be developed country. At the center of every scale of development will be the human being, his hope and aspiration. When India makes a big resolution, it does it.
The country has shown the resolve of cleanliness. Vaccination target achieved. 200 crore doses were taken. We had decided that 10 percent ethanol will be mixed in oil but we have completed it. Giving electricity connection to 2.5 crore people was a big resolution but it was done.
Freedom from open defecation has become possible in India today. Experience tells us that once we all walk with determination, we can achieve our goals. Now the coming 25 years will be of big resolution. This should be our life and this should be our vow.
5) Do not leave the element of Slavery in any corner of the mind, self-reliance
We don’t need to look like others. We want freedom from slavery. The element of slavery should not escape in our mind. The way the national education policy has been made, the hope with which it has been made, and the education policy of India has been made related to the soil… it is such a power that frees us from the elements of slavery.
We should be proud of every language of our country. Whether we know that language or not, but it is the language of our ancestors, we should be proud.

The third vitality is that we should be proud of our heritage. When we connect with our earth, only then we will fly high. Look at our strength, we are those people who know how to live with nature, know how to love. We have a legacy to be a solution to the problem of global warming. Our big paddy, millet, fat paddy is our heritage.
Today the world is moving ahead to make Millet Years at the international level. When it comes to individual tensions, the world sees yoga, India’s family is seen when it comes to collective tensions.
We are those people who see Shiva in living beings, we call woman Narayani, we see river as mother, we see Shankar in pebbles. This is our heritage. We gave the mantra of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam to the world. We sing the mantra of one truth often badanti.
There are people who say yatra pinde tatra universe. We have been the path of public welfare to the welfare of the world. We talk about everyone’s happiness and health. So we should learn to take pride in our heritage.
Another important theme is unity, solidarity. We have to celebrate the diversity of such a large country. No one is low, no one is high, all are equal. No one is yours, no one is alien.
If sons and daughters are not equal, then there cannot be unity. Gender equality is the foundation of unity. The mantra to bind us with unity is India First. We have to end the discrimination of high and low and mine and yours.
6) Salute to Women Power
We have 75 years of experience. We have also achieved many accomplishments. New dreams have also been cherished and resolutions have also been taken. But for the elixir of time, our human resource, how to get the optimum output of natural wealth, we have to walk with this goal. I can tell from the experience of the last few years.
Look at the field of court today, with what strength women power is working as a lawyer, Look at the area of ?? Panchayat in the villages, today see the field of knowledge, see the field of science, our women power is visible. We see in the police, our women power is taking responsibility for the safety of the people.
Whether we see in every sphere of life, whether we see the playground or the battlefield, the women power of India is coming forward with a new strength. This contribution will increase even more in the coming 25 years.
The more we pay attention to this, the more opportunities we will give to our daughters, you will see that she will take the country to a new height.
7) Public’s Cooperation Sought in the War Against Corruption
My dear countrymen, when we talk about this 25 years of immortality, we know that there are many challenges, there are troubles, there are limitations. We cannot underestimate this.
But it is necessary to discuss on 2 topics and I believe that due to all these challenges, deformities, diseases in this 25 years of nectar, if we do not take care in time, then they can take a formidable form. One is corruption and the other is nepotism, familism.
People are struggling with poverty. On the one hand there are those who do not have a place to live, on the other there are those who do not have a place to keep their stolen goods. This situation is not good. So we have to fight against corruption with all our might.
In the last 8 years through Direct Benefit Transfer, Aadhar, Mobile using all these modern systems, we have been able to channelize Rs 2 lakh crores which used to go into wrong hands for the betterment of the people. Those who ran away by robbing banks in previous governments are trying to get their properties confiscated and brought back. Many have been forced to live in jails.
It is our effort that those who have looted the country should be returned, we are creating this situation. We are entering a crucial period against corruption. I am saying this with great responsibility from the ramparts of the Red Fort.
Corruption is hollowing the country like a termite, I have to fight against it. I have come to ask for your cooperation so that I can win this battle. It is a matter of concern that today hatred towards corruption is visible, expressed but sometimes lenient towards the corrupt in the country. This will not suit any country.
Many people go so brazenly that they have been convicted in the court, have been proved corrupt, have decided to go to jail, are in jail, even after that they keep on glorifying them. Trying to build his reputation. Unless there is hatred towards dirt in the society, the consciousness of cleanliness does not arise. As long as there is no sense of corruption and hatred towards the corrupt, corruption will not end.
